About the event
What is Art? How do we break free from what we know? How do we take complex emotions and experiences when we are so constrained in our old ways of doing things? This is the beauty of abstract art. No longer confined to the form, abstraction uses simple shapes, colours, textures and layers so we can feel our way through a piece of art.
But don't be disallusioned, making a great piece of abstract art is much harder than it looks. Knowing when to use your brain, and sticking to your orignal reason for creating the piece of art, is essential to success, rather than just a messy, meaningless blob!
Join me as we take a look as some of the masters of abstract art, and get our art materials out for this session to practice some incredible abstract techniques.
By the end of this session, you'll have a variety of paintings and will feel as though you have un-locked creatively.
Highly recommened for artists of all abilities. This is an open space for creative expansion.
Materials:
Acrylic/Oils/Pastels
Paper
Brushes/any kind of device to paint with!
